What a week!

Despite what the temperatures outside are saying, it is definitely fall time! Back to school parties, weddings, birthday parties, and just about any other type of event you can think of are filling up our calenders faster than you can say "Save This Dance!" Last weekend we did DJ gig for a back to school event for "Christ the King" school in Mesa. My wife and I agreed, definitely one of the most fun events that we have ever done. We got some good pictures of them doing the Limbo, a hula hoop contest, and a video of them singing along to the "Tonight Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae. The next night we DJ'd a sweet 16 birthday party with a "white out" theme. All in all, a busy, busy weekend!
Hula Hoop Contest! here were a couple of girls who did not stop, it was impressive!

How low can you go? Again, a couple of kids were quite impressive, but the fact that they were only maybe 4ft tall might have had something to do it...

Who doesn't love a good Conga Line???

Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae...but sung by all these little voices

DJ in training. And check out our sweet new light there in the back ground!

July Wedding

Here are some pictures of a wedding DJ gig back in July. I thought they did a very good job of decorating. Just look at my table, you can hardly notice my turn tables and lap top with the giant Phoenix Suns sticker on it amongst the flowers and candles! Haha! I like it when people decorate my station, makes me feel like I fit right in! Loved the cake too with the colored frosting to match.

Congrats Holly and Michael!!

How to link iTunes Ping to Twitter AND Facebook

Second post in, and I'm already draggin...usually when I start something new, like exercising, I'm good for at least a month. I have a goal to make my next post within a month. I know, not a great goal, but I don't want to push it, I might pull something.

So I came up with this post because I spent a good 15-20 minutes last night "Googling" like crazy to try and remember how to link my Ping account to Twitter. I like to do it because and the DJ factor, when I buy a new song on iTunes, I can post it to Ping and thus, it will post on Twitter. It's a really easy way for me to get a post on Twitter since I only will send a tweet once a year on average (are you noticing a trend?).  Now the ironic thing is that if I took 2 minutes to look around on my Ping account page on iTunes, I would have noticed that its a simple click of a button to link my Ping and iTunes (see picture and feel free to laugh):

Now the tricky thing is linking your Ping to Facebook. In my Googling last night, I also found out that Facebook and iTunes got in some sort of spat and so Facebook blocked users from linking their two accounts (Mark Zuckerberg versus Steve Jobs, you think egos might have played a part?). However, it IS possible to link the two accounts through a very simple process that I wouldn't be surprised most people have figured out. Facebook may have blocked iTunes, but it didn't block Twitter. So in short, 2 simple steps:

1. Link your Ping account to Twitter
2. Link your Twitter to Facebook

It's that simple. And if you're wondering how to link Twitter to Facebook, you can go to: http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/. Then whenever you post on Ping, it's posted on Twitter, and then Twitter ever so nicely, posts on Facebook for you. Looks like Steve Jobs might have won this round...

Wiki Wiki Whaaa??

Well, here goes nothing. The scales have been tipped which have led me to fully embrace the social media world as a means to help expand business. For awhile, thoughts of whether or not anyone would really care to take a few moments to read what I have to say were recently over ruled by my wife's very persistent (but very much welcomed) idea to start a blog. I have thought for awhile that a tweet or a status update here and there was just about all the world could handle from me, but I guess I will cross the line from sporadic to consistent nuisance.

Now the other factor that I had to consider was what was I actually supposed to post on a blog for a DJ company. And the answer to that question has yet to be answered. I have thought of things from album/song reviews, DJ app reviews, annnndddd...I dunno...it took me about 10 minutes to just think of those two things.

But for tonight, I will leave you with this photo:

It comes with great pain to say that I took this photo myself and it is indeed (a moment of silence, please) my own computer. What you are seeing is my iPad resting against my laptop screen and being used as the laptop screen due to an incident that no longer allows my laptop screen to function normally (no that's not just a cool looking background on my computer). A mirror may have fallen off the top on a book shelf in our home and may have fallen on to the laptop which was just an innocent bystander. I don't want to name names or point the finger of blame at anyone, but let's just say it wasn't my wife...

Luckily, I found a good deal on a replacement LCD screen online and thanks to my random talent of being able to take things apart and fix them (I say random because anyone who knows my family knows that talent didn't come from either of my parents) I have been able to save myself a lot of potential pain.
